JASY is
an Outreach and Youth Ministry Program authorized and operated in partnership by:
The First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, New York, USA
McQuaid Jesuit, Rochester, New York, USA
and St. Patrick's Foundation of Kingston, Jamaica.
JASY provides
an annual week long summer sports training camp for economically disadvantaged Jamaican Youth from the Kingston area.
JASY utilizes
sports training as a vehicle to improve self-esteem, physical well being, team work, Christian values and cross-cultural learning.
Camp JASY 2008 was
conducted 19 - 23 May at The University of the West Indies campus at Mona.
Camp JASY 2009
will be held Monday, 29 June through Friday 3 July 2009 at the UWI Mona Bowl.
Junior Camp JASY, for younger Jamaican children, will be held at St. Patrick's Foundation
Riverton Human Resource Centre, Monday 6 July through Friday 10 July 2009.
Camp JASY is provided at NO COST to the participants. Refer
